Matthew 6:24
"No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon."

How can a person serve God AND also say that they support the President of the New Trickle Down Economics, Tax cuts to the wealthy, and of corporate welfare?

1. It is easy to SAY things
What is the verse about how we are to judge? Was it by their acts or their words?

3. How Can They Ignore The Poor and Needy?
....they mock their Maker.
"As you have done unto the least of these My brothers, (the poor, the needy, the fatherless, the widows, the prisoners), you have done unto Me". Matt. 25:36-46.

6. Got me.
I've never read in the Bible when G-d or Jesus said a particular economy or a particular way of seeing to the needs of our fellowman was better than any other way, they just said to do it. If there were no social saftey net at all that still would not remove the obligation of helping the poor and needy. That's pretty much how I do it. I don't wait for my tax money to filter through the various bureaucratic channels until it reaches those in need, I just help the one's I can directly. We all need to keep that in mind.
