Dr. Phil - RW? "freeloaders" "suckers"
i have only surfed brief seconds of Fox channel's Dr. Phil.

but i heard what sounded like RW themes.. freeloaders, and "you are a sucker".

Is he RW, much like dr. Laura is RW?

PS How can any one take the abuse Laura hands out to her callers? What masochists they are.

7. I don't mind him that much
But he is a Republican. Politics doesn't usually permeate his show, but he did have Paula Jones on once (ewwww!), and that disappointed me.

27. You'd have seen it before this war, if you'd seen the show

where he called anti-war protesters, including Medea Benjamen - TRAITORS. He told them to shut the hell up, tow the line, and keep their doubts to themselves.
I have not watched him since that show, and don't give a fig what he says now.

9. So eloquently put, Pacifist Patriot!
I couldn't have said it better.

(P.S. I have a Master's in Psychology, spent two years as a therapist-intern, and was a social services practitioner - or social worker - for seven years.)

13. Me neither.
I retired from social work to go back to law school, and recently graduated (about 1 year ago) - and am now working on passing the Bar.

I found out that "Dr. Phil" has a Juris Doctor (law degree). I don't know if he ever practiced. Seems like he would be a bad lawyer too.

I have no personal experience with his baby-starving abuse regimen, but what knowledge I do have of the man is almost enough to make me wish there was a hell, for he deserves it.

Are you familiar with the Pearls? As frightening as it is, their stuff is even worse.

25. No I'm not familiar with the Pearls.
Damn, if they're worse I don't think I want to know. Then again ignorance only breed complicity.

Yeah, I don't believe in hell either but Ezzo definitely would have a place reserved for him if it existed.

19. He didn't like being a therapist. You can see that in the way he
treats the 'mini sessions' he does on Oprah (gee thanks Oprah for this asshole). He yells, shames, etc. etc. He takes on the most minimal stuff -- my husband is fat, he snores, she yells at me -- and just says the obvious. He'll be a lib when the tide turns and that's just the way he is, not much core to that rotten apple.

5. freeper.
<http://www.newsmeat.com/celebrity_political_donations/Dr_Phil_McGraw.php>

During the elections, dr. phil had a show on Kerry and on * (all taped interviews shown to the audience with mcgraw and his Stepford wife commenting). I was in the audience and selected to ask a question during the Kerry show. They took no questions and cut the question segment. During the * time, (My mom watched it on tv, I couldn't stomach it) they took all these gushing questions for the audience.

After the election, mcgraw said "it won't be that bad. he'll do an alright job" Not an exact quote, but close enough.

robin (the wife) is the most robic stpford wife I've ever seen. When you go to the show, they give everyone this "magazine" full of articles. One was written by robin. It was titled "Robin's Day" and went on and on about how she serves phil and their two sons. I've never seen anything like it. She does everything for these grown men (ok- one teenage boy) and nothing for herself. It wasn't about being a great mom, it was about serving a man.

mcgraw is nothing but a freeper who gives crappy advice and tells people off on natinal tv. I hope his 15 minutes are up soon.

6. RW supposedly but with enough of an open mind to praise Kerry
I still remember when Mr. and Mrs. Kerry went on his show, and how Phil praised them for getting it, family-wise, really getting it.

Upset freepers no end, it did. They kept shouting for Phil to remember he was a Republican.

Phil gets a cookie for that at least.

22. No cookie.
Saying that Kerry handled his divorce well doesn't make up for the warm, snuggly bit he pulled in Larry King. * will be just fine (paraphrasing here.)

Telling a Dem he's a good father isn't good enough for me. I'msure * loves his girls. Doens't change the fact he is a mass murder.

The only Dr. Phil I know of is the CBS Dr. Phil, not "Fox Channel's Dr. Phil".
