Wierd bumper sticker collection on my way home
One the way out of RTP today, I following a little, early-mid 90s corrola or selica type car.

On the back bumper were :

Sherrif's Association, 1994

Power of Pride

And then this?

Sikhs pray with the rest of the country? ?!? Huh?

A Freeper Sikh? It took a minute for that to sink in. Anything's possible I guess, but that's just so.... odd.

Anyone Sikh DUers care to comment.

1. I don't see how you get "freeper" from those stickers
 Sikh's praying don't make them freepers.

3. No it wasn't the praying that got me
it was the sherriff's association and the PoP sticker juxtaposed with it.

It's just not a combo you see around here, usually. That's all.

2. I don't see freeper
I just see Sikh solidarity with America. I think he's saying that he's an American too.

Then again, the Sikh's have the most to win, don't they.

Hmm.

(steps aside) Oh Sikh DUers!

5. I am NOT calling anyone out
I want to make that clear.

I was just frankly curious, that's all.

6. Not calling out either
Just sending up the bat signal as it were. Need someone with more knowledge. Or as my local radio djs would say, calling on the "throbbing brain" ie the collective intelligence that is DU.

7. My Sheriff's a democrat

The power of pride deal is a fundraising effort for police, firefighters, and troops (initially for the first two groups after 9.11, but they've expanded to send care packages as well). It was started by Lowe's, I think - a blue company.

You can support policemen without being a freeper - there was a huge police union that supported Kerry.

9. Power of (hahahahaha) Pride
I wondered what that meant, so I googled the phrase and ended up here - http://tinyurl.com/byk8w

When you click on the "Power Of Pride" link, it tells you the page cannot be found.

I find that really funny, for some reason.

People put those dumb Sheriff's Association bumper stickers on their cars, thinking it's somehow going to protect them from getting tickets. What a scam the State Police and Sheriffs' Associations have going.

But, I find nothing inconsistent with all those bumper stickers.

Now, if it had been a Jain sticker instead of a Sikh ...............http://tinyurl.com/anrrh

11. It's all a vast Jain conspiracy...
...with their huge numbers, propensity toward violence and loathing of education ---it must be.

10. "A Freeper Sikh?"
I saw a documentary that had a story about a Republican Sikh in it, if my memory serves.
