So we've come full circle, have we?
Back to the 50s-- banning movies from theaters based on the actor/actress's personal leanings. Corporate control of private individuals and families based on the company rules and guidelines. Union busting, quite possibly violence from both sides of the line. Control of the individual via whatever biblical misreading is in vogue at the moment. The killing (perhaps sanctioned) of people based on misplaced idealism. The condemnation of a complete cultural subset (homosexual, democrat, fill in the blank...).

Murder and mayhem. Lunacy and insanity. Political correctness gone wild. Police Jackbooted thugs roaming the streets, inflicting electric shocks upon children and pregnant women. Wars and rumors of wars.

I'm truly surprised they haven't gotten around to the worst evil of them all: Rock And Roll.

Hell, give 'em time. All this other stuff will get boring after a while. Their chewing gum will lose all its flavor and they'll NEED something different to chew on for a while.

Well, they can't have it. They'd damned well better just STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM MY MUSIC. If they're truly following the timeline, this would mean that when I turn seventy three, disco will be coming back. And I DO NOT WANT to spend my sunset years listening to that nonsense all over again!

So it's up to us to stop all this turn-the-clock-back crap. We need to stand up, speak out, and reclaim our future. Before it's too late. Before they start feeding us garbage. Before they start censoring our songs.... er... um.... now, wait a minute...

Oh, Lord. It's too late!

I'll listen to the Bee Gees. I'll even listen to Lawrence Frickin' Welk if I'm forced to (even though I might just snap when Joe Feeney comes on). But please, PLEASE, whatever happens, somebody promise me I won't have to listen to The Village People. Please, tell me I won't have to watch Travolta dancing again. Please, please, PLEASE tell me I won't ever have to hear DISCO DUCK again!!!

Oh, Jeez. We're doomed.

School board bans band from performing 'Louie Louie'

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. A Michigan middle school's marching band has been ordered not to perform "Louie Louie" in a parade this weekend.

The Benton Harbor school superintendent sent a letter to parents saying the song's allegedly raunchy lyrics makes it inappropriate -- even though the marching band wasn't going to sing it.

5. Pretty bass ackward, eh?
It was based on the lyrics. Supposedly sexually suggestive. Personally, I can't see it. Although, oddly, I DO want to seek out a kegger every time I hear it....

Louie Louie
The Kingsmen

CHORUS:

Louie Louie, oh no
Me gotta go
Aye-yi-yi-yi, I said
Louie Louie, oh baby
Me gotta go

Fine little girl waits for me
Catch a ship across the sea
Sail that ship about, all alone
Never know if I make it home

CHORUS

Three nights and days I sail the sea
Think of girl, constantly
On that ship, I dream she's there
I smell the rose in her hair.

CHORUS

Okay, let's give it to 'em, right now!

GUITAR SOLO

See Jamaica, the moon above
It won't be long, me see me love
Take her in my arms again
Tell her I'll never leave again

CHORUS

Let's take it on outa here now
Let's go!!

6. Probably more like 1929 or 1890s at least from an economic point.
