One of the recurring themes here at DU is that Bush is a dictator.

Another recurring theme is the "Bush-as-Jesus" photos his official photographer likes to make. There are a lot of them--any time Bush is standing in front of something round, the photographer has a way of manipulating himself into a position to make a photo with Bush's head surrounded by the round thing so it looks like a halo. These then get distributed among the loony right to prove that Bush is a holy man worthy of veneration.

The Hitler-with-a-cross-growing-out-of-his-head image that appears here from time to time is a way of reminding us that Bush is not the first dictator to abuse Jesus for his own ends.

What could be behind the Bush Administration's decision to censor the photographs of flag-draped coffins returning from Iraq? Could it really be, as the government says, to respect "the privacy of the families?" Or is it to hide the realities of war for political reasons? Or is it to protect the delicate sensitivities of the ruling class as Americans die to build them an empire?

As the argument over this censorship continues, I hope people remember a widely-quoted remark made by the president's mother, Barbara Bush, last year during the build-up of the war - the lying time.

"Why should we hear about body bags and deaths," Barbara Bush said on ABC's "Good Morning America" on March 18, 2003. "Oh, I mean, it's not relevant. So why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that?"

Let's collaborate on song parodies and get them circulated as PodCasts.

The song is from Led Zep's first album and is called Your Time Is Going To Come. It's actually pretty easy to write song lyrics when you have a starting point and all you have to do is a parody.

With songs and Flash movies, I belive we can reach exponentially more people, call it the Daily Show effect if you will. There is a reason why O'Reilly was so disparaging and in my opinion somewhat worried about the Daily Show effect. I started the parody (lyrics in all caps), looking for DU brainstorming help:
