Did anyone else watch "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" in High School
or Junior high. When I was in Junior high we watched it in our Unified Class ( which was Social Studies and I think, English, were Unified into one, two hour class, really a 100 minute class we got a break in the middle when the other kids changed classes).

All of the 8th Grade Unified classes watched it every year. It has a big highlight of the spring semester. I learned quite a bit about Government and the Filibuster. It was a unique way to teach and the kids really enjoyed it.

2. Now I'm annoyed. Our big yearly movie was
"The Pit And The Pendulum."
Good movie, but I think it was their way of keeping us entertained/babysat towards the end of the school year.

4. Awesome ! I love Vincent Price.
Was your school in Baltimore? If not, what was the reason for watching a horror movie?

I never got to watch a horror movie in school, dammit.

5. No, Long Island, NY. Don't know what the reason was other
than keeping us entertained. They piled students in the auditorium for the duration. The experience must have been memorable because I do remember, and that was many a moon ago!

3. I saw that movie as a kid-Jimmy Stewart was awesome in it!
Freepers need to see it-they might learn a thing or two.
