There are some interesting parallels to Nazi Germany and Bush.

1. Lucas quoted Bush
Edited on Fri May-20-05 07:48 PM by O.M.B.inOhio
It was clever to put Bush's words in the mouth a corrupted Anakin Skywalker: "If you're not with me, you're my enemy," and to have villains laud democracy and peace. Also poignant, an observation on the dissolution of the Republic into fascist Empire inthe name of peace -- "So this is the sound of the end of democracy: thundrous applause."
(quoted as best I can recall, of course.)

Not too subtle to go over the heads of Faux News imbeciles. Nicely targeted jabs at the Bush Junta. Pity the rest of the writing was so poor.

4. Lucas: "first one, anti Nixon. This one, anti Bush"
my paraphrase, and shortened what he said preserving the essence.

read it somewhere.

3. There was
quite a lot of real life parallels in this movie. It's nice to see this kind of thing in such a high profile movie. I hope Bush lovers are quivering in their shoes with anger.

8. I really like the visual part of the series
i'm not much on his having a princess in there, but overall i enjoy the shows because of the visuals and SOW.
Sense Of Wonder.

"my SOW is fine. How is your SOW?" -- common greeting among scifi buffs.

PS science is bringing the possibility of robots doing all the work while humans go on vacation permanently.
