3. Then his numbers should definately rise
at the rate we're going.

I actually switched from supporting Dean to DK just after Clark entered the race.

Too many bandwagons and not enough...

2. It would take an outbreak of West Nile virus
that killed only Democratic Presidential candidates
not named Kucinich to get him the nomination.

He's a good guy but he has no shot.

4. Funny, they said that about WELLSTONE in 1990
...AND about Kucinich the first time he ran for congress in a conservative "Reagan Democrat" district.

And yet, they both won.

Funny how the electorate doesn't always follow what the media and pundits tell them, isn't it? :)

7. He doesn't have any corporate money
And he's not likely to get any, either. He's actually like an enemy of corporate power. I'm hoping the American electorate has a bigger voice than those who want more of the same old...

8. reminds me of the Kucinich story
a supporter asked "is it true you won't take money from corporations?"

Kucinich said, "Yes, it's true, but with my positions, no corporations will be donating money anyway!"

Or something like that

9. Nothing against Kucinich
but right now his numbers are so low someone would also need to take out Kerry, Gephart, Edwards, Dean, Lieberman, Graham and Braun. On the other hand, there are still four months before the first primary. Who knows what will happen in that time.

13. That depends, really
If you look at the sample for 99% of these polls, you'll notice that they are either 1) registered Democrats and 2) people who voted in the last election. However, I can show you some numbers that may suprise you, if you haven't seen them previously.

A large portion of Kucinich's support comes from those that are either disaffected voters or Democratic voters who have not voted lately because they're disenchanted with the Democrats. These people are regularly "under the radar" of the press and aren't the ones who get called by the major polling organizations. However, these are also the same people that don't mind going to their precinct caucuses and speaking their mind when they're there.

There is a VERY strong grassroots Kucinich network out there. We just had over 1,000 Peace Party fundraisers over the weekend. Of course you wouldn't know that by reading the press because Dennis is considered an "important" candidate or isn't "electable".

All I can say is that a LOT of people are going to be suprised the morning after Iowa.... :D
