Top Ten Reasons to Watch Bush Tonight
Edited on Tue Jun-28-05 06:25 PM by Plaid Adder
10. More evidence in the argument against the theory of Intelligent Design.

9. Suspense of seeing whether Liberty Light or Freedom Dry will win this year's Bud Bowl.

8. Exciting new backdrop of soldiers in uniform might inspire new camo-themed decorating ideas.

7. Chance of catching someone in the abovementioned backdrop yawning, falling asleep, or making 'rabbit ears' above W's head as he talks.

6. Sooooo easy to turn it into a drinking game.

5. Possibility that Bush, instead of dissembling, will disassemble by mistake.

4. Morbid curiosity as to how many different ways a speechwriter can reframe the same load of incoherent bullshit before commiting ritual suicide on live TV.

3. Democrats have hired Simon Cowell to give the 'response.'

2. Will enable you to more precisely and effectively humiliate Bush-voting colleagues Wednesday morning.

1. When W. finally undergoes a full-blown psychotic meltdown on national television, don't you want to be able to say you were there?

C ya,

The Plaid Adder

8. I'd add "picking his nose" to number 7.
Good list, though. If we were REALLY lucky, we might not only hear the birth of a new malapropism. Perhaps someone behind him will break wind audibly...

I can dream, can't I?

Edited on Tue Jun-28-05 06:26 PM by blue sky at night
but I cannot bring myself to listen to him, it is like fingernails on the blackboard to me. I agree there are many reasons to listen, mostly to watch him make an ass out of himself once more. God, how can people support him after they listen to him for 30 seconds? Go for it Moran, you can only dig a bigger hole than you are already in.

10. You know, you almost had me there with reasons 1, 2, & 4
but I think I'll spend tonight watching "The Fellowship of the Ring" tonight.

Either that, or re-writing the script for that God-forsaken Star Wars trilogy. (Eps 1-3).

16. Televisions are too expensive. At least, mine is.
I have a 'foot through screen when W's on' problem. Can't watch. Just can't. Rage --- rising --- pressure --- building ---

So that I can listen to something more entertaining, like Dream Theater or Stephen King.

...while screaming "I AM YOUR GOD!" then whip it out and starts urinating on the same reporter at the same moment Cheney's "ticker"... "tocks" :)

23. As long as the words "BLOODY AWFUL!" feature prominently...
...I think it would be quite entertaining. As a performer, George W. is a disaster. I don't know how he gets away with it. And if he ever tried to sing...LOOK OUT!

"Your suit doesn't fit, your posture is terrible, and your affect is flatter than Rush Limbaugh's mattress. Even if this speech were 10,000 times better than it actually is, a delivery this bad would still get it banned under the terms of the Geneva Convention."

And it would all sound so much better with Simon's accent...

I think he will come across as Peevish and it will alienate the people who still support him. The fall will be dated from today.

22. Concerning reason number 10, Pladder
Edited on Tue Jun-28-05 06:40 PM by Jack Rabbit
Actually, Bush is an argument in favor of intelligent design.

According to Darwin, evolution cannot work backward. Therefore, Bush could only be the result of a conscious, intelligent and perhaps somewhat malicious designer. Nature couldn't do this.

The guys there would face a court marshall
so hopefully they at least will not cheer and applaud him.
Let us hope we get 9 out of the 10 reasons.
