16. Think with the brain that is
above your neck, amigo.

Republicans are evil; embracing the dark side is a prerequisite for admission to the republican party.

20. Not really
Party affiliation reflects much of the rest of a person as well. Their attitudes towards others, and towards the world, as well as their interpretation of morality. What they value. These are strong compatability issues.

Depends on level of rabidity. And how cute she is! :P

24. Sounds like a big mistake
to ask for our opinion, then! :-)

I married a Republican. Converted her to a Democrat after a couple of years. She went from voting for Ronald Reagan to Jesse Jackson! So who knows what can happen. I've known a couple of Carville/Matlin type of marriages, including one where both partners were aggresively partisan activists. They do fine. Neither one wants to talk about their work after hours, anyway, so it works out great.

25. Well politics is while important to my life secondary to life itself
Edited on Thu Jul-07-05 03:37 AM by JohnKleeb
And who knows she may even change her views. She's smarter than I am for sure. I think shes a likable person despite differing views and Ive known her for four years and I only found out she was a republican only in January, shes not that partisan though very interested in the process.

30. just do your thing, obviously you care for her and that's what matters
Edited on Thu Jul-07-05 04:23 AM by Wetzelbill
I never in my life was interested in a woman solely for her political views. Party affiliation was never what I thought of when I was looking for a woman. It pretty much is a big thing for me now, though. Before it wasn't. But, I would never rule somebody out if they were a Republican. I'd be turned off if all she ever spewed was hateful stuff, for sure, but if a woman was like that I wouldn't have wanted her in the first place. The important thing is that you both enjoy each other's company, if you don't agree on everything, well so what, nobody does. We're all different, that's what makes life and love interesting. Go for it, treat her good and make sure she treats you good and all it'll work out fine.

Gosh, Kleeb, you probably never heard me so serious before. :)

More fun to play with and they can be housebroken.

Seriously - my convictions are too deeply held to date someone who has values that are so opposed to my own. I think it would undermine the respect necessary for a serious relationship.
