1. You got that
Let's see Blair try the "fight them there so we don't have to fight them here" argument.

2. the Brits are smarter than some in this country are
They were against the war in Iraq for the most part as it is. Once the dust clears from this attack, I think Blair will be gone and Brit troops will be out of Iraq. Just because Blair's party got re-elected, doesn't mean that Blair's position is safe. Its not. Its different than over here.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the British people. I have friends there who I've not heard from yet and I hope that they are ok.

3. You completely misread the British temperment
If any reasonable causation can be drawn between this attack and the departure of Tony Blair, I'll kiss your ass in Macy's window. This attack will fortify the resolve of the British and increase Blair's popularity. Believe that.

6. absolutely not
Obviously you've never been to the UK nor do you know anyone from that country. While the Brits support labor with regard to the economy, they do not support Blair and his policies in Iraq nor his relationship with Bush. You have no idea what you're talking about.
But don't take it from me. Start to pay attention!

8. Wrong
I've been to England many times, and my wife is an English national (subject of the crown, rather). You don't know what you're talking about on those points, ace.

It's quite clear that the brits find Blair generally distasteful, and that they are by and large against the war. And certainly against Bush. None of that negates my point.

9. You've been away too long.
And I won't argue with you. I have my belief based upon converstions with current UK citizens and my own travels.

10. As my wife is a "current UK citizen"
who speaks with her family frequently, I won't argue with you either. Just note that you were wrong earlier, and probably don't even understand my initial point, but just snapped to attack anything that doesn't look like your absolute opinion. Nice work there, btw.

5. we're fighting "them"
in Iraq (and Iran and Syria and Afghanistan and...) and Madrid and London and soon where else?

Until we correctly identify who "them" is, this will never end.
