Will the Democrats filibuster Gonzales?

Seems to me that someone who advocates torture should be filibustered.

Unfortunately, we seem to be getting the "not as bad as" rhetoric so favored by the Chamberlain Dem "leadership".

What think you?

1. I read a post yesterday reporting that Reid said the Democrats . . .

would not filibuster Supreme Court nominees . . . if that's an accurate quote, I see no reason to support the Democratic Party on anything . . . I sincerely hope it's NOT accurate . . .

3. On the other hand . . .

there were a lot of Republicans during the atty gen hearings who didn't press hard because the gig was only temporary. And after the hearings a lot of info came out (or at least, was finally picked up by folks outside DU!) showing that Gonzales wasn't being straight at the hearings. Possibly Reid knows that some Repubs aren't willing to make a lifetime commitment on the guy, so no filibuster will be necessary.

Personally, I think it's too early to speculate, I'd prefer to wait until Bush actually makes a nomination.
