They'll forget what he's like, partly because no one likes to think that the person running the country is a total jerk and partly because their editors will "gently remind" them of who writes the checks and that the same conditions for employment remain in place.

As long as five old white men effectively control everything Murkins see, hear and/or read--and as long as these guys are pro-bu$h--I don't see the Media Borg getting any sort of clue, or revealing that it might have one.

And there is every possibility that Rovegate is only another distraction from something bigger and nastier.

The corporate media is fueled by automobile advertising. They are not going to bite the hand that feeds them. They may take a nibble or two to make us THINK they are "doing their job" but in reality their job is to maximize profits for their shareholders.
