question about streaming radio audio

I frequently download and stream audio at the same time. I have a 5 Mbps connection, so my logic tells me I should have no problem. Today I've had a lot of problems with the Stephanie Miller show ( http://www.progressivetalk1260.com/stephaniemiller.html ). Of course I could just chalk it up to their server problems or internet congestion, but would my downloads interfere ? Thanks in advance for your time. :-)

1. A 5MB connection should be more than sufficient to do both.

How much memory do you have in the box & what operating system?

3. windows xp pro sp2 w/all patches, 2 gb of memory nt

5. based on your software configuration i'll bet you have

the latest realplayer also. The freebie version is 10.0.

2. I crashed (sys error) trying to listen to c-span on RealPlayer. Had a

blip of some other kind of thing happening just before that.
