How to link to a RW site and keep them from seeing the hit count
Take any site name, and add .nyud.net:8090 to the end of the name and you will go through the free public Coral caching system, and the RW site will not see all of the links coming to them from DU.

For example Say you wanted to link to;

http://www.RimJobRepublic.com/articles/Rush_Limbaugh_Is_Gay

Change that to;

http://www.RimJobRepublic.com.nyud.net:8090/articles/Rush_Limbaugh_Is_Gay

And you deny them of the referrer information, and the really key information of how many people have gone to that link as the link is fetched only once from the cache, and everybody after the first time only sees the cached copy.

Just a little bit on "fuck you" for our good friends on the Right.

Enjoy!

4. *LOL* You are so dang clever.
I still don't want to go there, though. It's just plain bad for my emotional health. I mean, those people are really sick,...disturbed,...kinda' like going to a hospital for the criminally insane without their meds. :scared:

6. I agree. I'm betting there are at least a dozen Serial Killers on there.
I hear that the BTK killer was a Freeper.

10. Use TinyUrl on the .nyud.net:8090 address to deprive search engine ranking
Edited on Mon Aug-15-05 06:06 PM by IanDB1
For example, taking:

http://www.freerepublic.com.nyud.net:8090

and changing it to:

http://tinyurl.com/9tvcy

Doesn't that ALSO keep them from scoring points in search engine rankings?

On-edit:

Using TinyUrl.com also makes it impossible for them to google-search their own web address to see who's linking to it.

13. Hey, what if you use TinyUrl to hot link to someone's pictures?
Edited on Mon Aug-15-05 06:23 PM by IanDB1
Just wondering.

http://tinyurl.com/cu3lg

For example, if this were actually a hot link to freeper site, how would they find out?

On Edit: Never mind, TinyUrl won't let you hotlink images.
