1. Ah, and US citizens up to their eyeballs in debt...
...rising daily...

Does Bush want to be driving if and when there's a big crash? How long can we artificially run the world on smoke and mirrors and a dwindling supply of black crude and natural gas?

3. And the war (Afghanistan & Iraq) is not even included in the defense
budget OR the combined budget.

AAAARRRGH. If this deficit were being used to improve the infrastructure or invest in people, this would be bearable. But so much of it is going to tax cuts, privatization, and defense contractors.

4. this is the result of diefying Raygun!!!!!!!
Raygun did this too, same thing, and the fascists think since it worked so well they will do it again because it would have worked better if the liberals hadnt messed it up. they are like alcoholics, one TRILLION isnt enough... 100 TRILLION WILL NEVER BE ENOUGH. bush said that he didnt go to rehab, that he quit drinking with gods help and a lot of bitch slapping by his wife. if he had got peofessional help we might not be in this mess. He is behaving like a DRUNK ON A BINGE WITH SOMEONE ELSES CREDIT CARD.

5. Mission Accomplished
This has been Norquist's goal ever since the 80's - to get to the point where all we can afford is defense, and everything else (SS, roads, Head Start, Medicare, Medicaid, etc., etc.) has to be done away with.

And are the top 1% going to give their windfall to save all the programs that made this nation great? No, they're going to send them to Smirk to use on commercials.

Is this nation fu(ked up or what??

7. At this rate the debt service will soon exceed the defense budget.
By the time we get this deficit under control, the national debt will be $10 billion.

I honestly believe that this is one of the things about Clinton that pisses off Republicans (the ones who actually have power). Under Clinton, economic growth outstripped the national debt by quite a bit. As a result, the national debt declined sharply as a percentage of GDP. Republicans want to keep the government saddled with enough debt to limit its effetiveness.

8. We better get that Iraqi Oil flowing
It is supposed to pay off everything. That is what they are counting on except for a few mad Iraqis who keep blowing holes in the pipeline. Cheney is starting to get nervous. The Energy cartel who were promised in Cheney's SECRET Energy Meetings that they would reap huge rewards after Iraq was secured are beginning to make some noises. Now Iran has discovered a huge oil reserve so guess who has WMD now?
