Poll question: What characteristics of this administration bother you most?
What policies, events, attitudes or lies bother you the most about the current administration? Is it one thing, a combination, or are you just a "hater"?

Note: Hater refers to the David Brooks NY Times piece yesterday - The Presidential Wars

1. Combination
It's the incessant lying, and the constant smears on their opponents. I think Republican policies are terrible, as are their unholy ties to big business and religious fundamentalism. But while I vehemently disagree with Republicans in general, I don't hate them. I hate this administration. They're immoral flag-waving chickenhawk yahoos who lie and lie and lie about everything and then question the patriotism of anyone who questions their lies.

3. Boy, That's a Tough One
Would have to be fiscal irresponsibility followed closely by warmongering (only because it's so common in US history).

They think they're bulletproof (in a drunkard's sort of way.)

5. For me
it's the fascism, plain and simple. I know, I know, I'm just a titty baby about living under fascist rule, but I can't help it. It's been with me since birth, can't seem to shake it. Maybe a few months living in a dog cage at Gitmo will help me snap out of it...?

There is nothing legitimate about the * Bush Administration, therefore none of the above 'irritate me' any more than the simple fact that * sits his ass on the family quarter's couch that should rightfully have had GORE's ass sitting on it. :grr:

8. It's not the characteristics of this admininstration that perturb me...
It is the apathy of the general American populace that ALLOWS all of the above to happen.

12. You know, when right wingers enumerate
what they feel is wrong with Democrats, some of the first things that come up are:

1. We want to raise taxes.

2. We support big government.

3. We spend to much money.

4. We want the government to control peoples lives.

5. We pander to polling numbers.

With the exception of number 1, this describes the Bush maladministration and eventually taxes will have to be raised to pay for todays spending. Bush is giving us everything that is supposed to be wrong with the Democratic party without giving us any of the good stuff.

13. Hubris
It's the smirk, the swagger, the frat-boy "you'll never catch me" attitude. The idea that somehow the rules do not apply to these people. The assumption that the electorate is stupid and will suck and swallow anything put out on the media teat.

I also think hubris and hubris alone will bring them down. I say bring on the gotterdammerung. Can't happen soon enough to suit me.

15. The one thing that really gets me is his constantly bringing up 9-11
and how we were attacked, blah, blah, blah - I am weary of the fearmongering.
