1. Four things we can do until we figure out something precise.
1. Remind the world that Bush and his fellow liars completely dismissed the Hart-Rudman report commissioned by Clinton.
2. Remind the world that Bush and his fellow liars were blatantly inept in their choices of handling and analyzing data spoon-fed to them starting way before the inauguration by experts. They acted criminally in their dismissal of knowledge shared with them and the dismissal of advice for the stated reason of ignoring anything that Pres Clinton or his staff did.

3. Remind the world that Bush and his fellow liars refused to hold a criminal investigation into any aspect of 9-11 except for a supposed investigation into the put-options which were declared not a problem in a quiet statement from Ashcroft who closed the case. The put-option criminal act was the most blatant proof of advance knowledge and they poofed it away.

4. Remind the world that Bush and his fellow liars allowed a limited and handcuffed investigation into our intelligence divisions which serious and rational people now call a whitewash and set-up and an opportunity for the character assassination of Jamie G.

2. I hope they ignore it
I really doubt that there is any truth to tha Able Danger story. And, if the story continues, that will be all the more the wingers will blame Clinton for 9/11.

Even if the story was true, I don't see how it would prove anything about LIHOP or MIHOP.

6. This is also part of the Fascist plot to turn America into a police state
The righties can't stand the fact that, after Nixon, the left got laws passed that made it harder for the CIA and the FBI to be used as instruments of domestic political repression. The righties would love to have the left's phones all tapped and have spy satellites peeking in our windows. That's another big reason they love the Able Danger myth.

The righties are trying to convince America that we can't protect ourselves from terrorists because the left has tied their hands. That's part of the lie they pushing with Able Danger. One would have to believe the part of the Able Danger myth that says Pentagon lawyers (who to my knowledge have never even been named) wouldn't let the FBI have the information that they were legally entitled to have. (A convenient RW explanation for this shortcoming is that the lawyers were so threatened by the left's senseless laws that they decided to never pass on anything) Are Pentagon lawyers that stupid? I don't think so. The RW's are making this up.

I monitor the RW and have monitored what they've done with this hoax. If you watch the righties often, you'll realize everything they do, like trying to strip the courts of their power, is a step toward a Fascist state. The Able Danger hoax is part of that effort.

I find it hard to convince anyone of a conspiracy that is right in plain sight, and almost impossible to convince anybody that a far fetched conspiracy story with no evidence at all isn't true.

sign painting, blogging, feet hurt, working, vigiling, candlelighting, raging, meeting some more, blogging some more, calling, getting petitions signed for a democrat to get on the ballot for Superintendent of Schools in Arizona, SLADE MEAD!, to hone in much on this Present Danger deal. Someone give me the skinny in five sentences or less. LOL Please.

15. Able Danger is a Pandora's Box that will blow up in the RW's face.
Re-open the 9/11 investigation? BRING IT ON! Here's why:

So the responsibility for stopping DIA program Able Danger, which had Identified Atta and 3 other hijackers and linked them to 56 other al-Queda terrorists overseas, has been laid at the feet of Bill Clinton--except he and Richard Clarke were never told about it at all.

That's right. Bill Clinton was never told about Able Danger and the ID of Atta because Richard Clarke was never told about AD. How do I know? He never wrote about it in his book, nor did he testify about it's existence before the 9-11 Commission!

You see Richard Clarke was known for being obsessed with Osama Bin Laden and HE was the guy the neo-con moles did not want to find out about Atta and the gang. Schoomaker and the neo-cons knew telling the FBI would inform Clarke and then Mr. Laser Beam himself, President of the United State William Jefferson Clinton, would have gotten involved--and the Pearl Harbor-type attack would never take place (the neo-cons talked about the need for a Pearl Harbor-type attack before the PNAC Plan would be accepted by the American people--so when one presented itself, they let it happen).

General Pete Schoomaker, who were later heavily rewarded by the neo-cons in the Bush Administration, blocked the upward motion of the DIA information by having Shaffer and Philpott meet with Pentagon lawyers opinions--lawyers who were rubberstamping ridiculous legal opinions to carry out the neo-con plan. These certain people were neo-cons in the Clinton Administration, covertly carrying out the PNAC plan to let a Pearl Harbor-type attack occur so Iraq and 6 other countries could be invaded.

11. Third Source Backs 'Able Danger' Claims About Atta
Third Source Backs 'Able Danger' Claims About Atta
Saturday, August 27, 2005

WASHINGTON — A third person has now come forward to verify claims made by a military intelligence unit that a year before the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, it had information showing that lead hijacker Mohamed Atta (search) and other terrorists were identified as being in the United States.

J.D. Smith, a defense contractor who claims he worked on the technical side of the unit, code-named "Able Danger" (search), told reporters Friday that he helped gather open-source information (search), reported on government spending and helped generate charts associated with the unit's work. Able Danger was set up in the 1990s to track Al Qaeda activity worldwide.

"I am absolutely positive that he was on our chart among other pictures and ties that we were doing mainly based upon cells in New York City," Smith said.

Smith said data was gathered from a variety of sources, including about 30 or 40 individuals. He said they all had strong Middle Eastern connections and were paid for their information. Smith said Able Danger's photo of Atta was obtained from overseas.
