Local kids selling lemonade and brownies today
This was great to see, parents in the background just watching as these 6 to 10 year olds stepping up in their own way to help send money to victims. Every town in America should encourage its children to do this during the weekend and have a delegated parent forward the money to one of the charities like the Salvation Army or Red Cross. Even a dollar by all passers by would be a huge help. If our government can't do it, maybe we can do it ourselves. As an added bonus, this teaches our kids a lesson in sharing and helping.

3. My kids are putting together a toy drive here
Anything to help alleviate the stress and boredom on the evacuated children coming here to Texas. Something to keep their spirits a little higher than they are right now.
