My husband and his salesmen were on a major bush bashing tirade yesterday at work. All were livid, PISSED! at what was going on in NO. All agreed it was a race and class divide. pure and simple. They called bush everything but a white man. They said he should be IMPEACHED NOW! My husband said if this had happened in Brentwood, CA, those white people would have been evacuated in limos. :evilgrin: I am not sure of the political leanings of this group except for my husband who is a Democrat, of course! But, they are all white males of varying age groups and mostly native Texans. They could very well be repugs, I don't know. What I do know is they are real people with real feelings for their fellow humans and they are highly PISSED at the treatment by this government of those who were unable to leave, the sick, the elderly, the economically deprived, blacks, in short, AMERICANS. They knew in a similar situation, being one paycheck away from the poor house as a lot of Americans are, they wouldn't last long with no job to return too.

I think this has hit home with a lot of Americans. They can identify very easily with the victims in the Gulf States hit hard by Katrina. So George W. Bush, you go ahead and deflect blame away from your role in this. Do it! I don't think the people of this Country will let you off the hook!
