No Discussion On DU on Alberta Gonzalez's War On Pornography
Was all over news media this morning. Have I missed it on DU?

Why do you think all of a sudden that with the possibility of Gonzalez being the next Supreme Court Nominee, he declares war on pornography.

Is this pandering to his or the right wing base?

there have been serveral on this... the basic question is how the hell are they going to bust people for selling legal material...but I guess if AssKKKroft can bust Tommy Chong for selling legal products, what is to stop Alberto 'Mr. Torture' Gonzales from hounding the porn industry?

Not a damn thing, sad to say. :cry:

2. Just because paraphenalia and porn are sold out in the open
Does not make them legal. Porn is technically illegal on the fed level and in 40 states - legal to own, illegal to sell.

It's a very complicated subject. See some of my posts in the other threads.
