Rita Landfall to Coincide With March on White House Saturday?
Weather Channel has the hurricane landfall sometime Saturday - Friday AM to Saturday PM - the middle of that time span is right when the march is to occur.

1. All the more reason to march
and carry signs about Homeland sSecurity/FEMA incompetence.

2. And how the money is better spent AT HOME.
That war is a bloody rich man's luxury and we can no longer afford it.

If the oil men want it so badly, let them use their obscene profits to hire enough mercenaries to kill enough Arabs so they can finally take those wells. Damned if I want to pay for what will make those rich men richer.

Tell them they can't do it on our dime, anymore.

3. No, you shouldn't
I'm not personally a big believer in the effectiveness of marches on affecting public policy, but if you do march, stick to the message. This was touted as a "bring home the troops" rally; don't try to glom other issues onto it, or you risk blurring the messages for all of them.

4. Yeah, landfall some time around 9 am.
Damned unsporting of it. Perhaps we could postpone Rita a day?

5. That means no one will know what is going on anywhere else.
It's bad enough when the MSM ignore the marchers, but now they'll all be in Texas commenting about winds.

8. Double Whammy for Bush
His house of cards is falling. He needs to tell us what this "noble cause" is that has killed thousands in Iraq and will kill thousands here.

A widow of a 9/11 victim recently related her meeting with Bush on "This American Life."

Told that the woman's husband died on their wedding anniversary, he said, "Boy, that's a double whammy."
