Dear Freepers....
FREEPERS, you do know that Clinton wasn't President on 9/11, don't you? You do know that Iraq was not behind 9/11, don't you? You do know that Hussein was a secular dictator and not an Islamicist, don't you? You do know that the greatest expansions of Federal power and spending (read deficits) have occurred under Republican administrations, don't you? If so, why the HELL are you still FREEPERS?

1. I've never understood the Rep mantra of small gov.
The are the biggest cheerleaders of big gov contracts to large corps. My freeper in-laws are small bus owners who are getting their butts kicked by the new Wal mart and Home Depot in their town of 35,000.

I remind them of what huge Rep donors those stores are and how Dems would love to help small bus owners get health care - but they still have to fall in line with the Reps are cool cronies they hang out with - all VERY upstanding Christians I assure you :eyes:

2. We have escaped the period of big government
and replaced it with super sized government.

3. Republican "small government" is corrupt, is not Libertarian small gov't.
Republican "small government" is really "corporate welfare". It is really "government hand in glove with corporations". It is not about small business either. It is simply corrupt, and it exemplified by Tom DeLay.

4. I know, it's the biggest, most transparent scam around - the Republicans
as champions of "Small Government". What B.S. That's why many on the left and non-republican right have so much in common right now.

5. Now we need to add that they can't even manage to evacuate, rich
Republican Texan cities. Sortta changes things if you live there, doesn't it?
