This weekend I spent like any other dad/husband with chores, family time etc. Occasionally I would flip through the TV etc, news, football etc. I didn't look at C-SPAN at all but focused first on just the non cable channels as if I did not have cable, then eventually the CNNs, MSNBC etc. C-SPAN I avoided because I was not playing the role of political junkie.

Here is my non scientific analysis as I played the role of Joe Average. Without cable I would no absolutely nothing of the protests, nada. With cable I saw one small scrolling blurb at the bottom of CNN's ticker. Instead I saw both MSNB and CNN give me in depth detail of oil refineries, their restart time, damage etc.

Our media is a joke.

if Rove didn't tell them about it. I mean think about this, from a quarter of a million to half a million people surround the WH and this is the coverage you get? They sure know how to ignore what Rove tells them to ignore.
