From Maryland, looking west....
Y'know, my state elected a Republican Governor last year.

It wasn't much fun.

BUT...after the Republican Governor was sworn in, he said to the State Legislature, "I'm your new Republican Governor. I have a mandate from the citizens. And we are gonna do this, and this, and this, and..."

And the Democratic-controlled State Legislature said:

"What do you mean "WE", paleface?"

1. Well Elrlich has to push around somebody
He's afraid if he tried to push around his wife at home she'd kick his ass after she got through with Brittney Spears ;-).

5. Focus on the positives
Amidst all the wailing and gnashing of teeth last November, it was almost completely overlooked that IL put Democrats in charge of all 3 branches of state government, something that had not happened in over 30 years.

CA was a battle, not the entire war.

8. Too true!
Not only was it a single battle, but it was a battle between celebrity v. Democrat v. Repug. The sad thing is that the real Repug, McClintock, managed to figure out a way to finish fourth in a three-way fight. LOL!
