What's the consensus on Rummy's
"talks" this a.m.? I saw none of it--but am curious whether he stuck to one or two messages and whether anyone was able to ruffle those chickenhawk feathers that creep out from the arm and leg holes of his suit.

2. Yep, on two shows....
he said the exact same thing. He reminded us that Winston Churchill said in WW2 that we have to convince the people to "let us win the war."

It sounded stupid and self-serving both times.

6. The odd thing is that I think he believes this crap.
They really do think that they are engaged in some epic struggle against a powerful adversary. How that lines up with the reality of a terrorist organization holed up in caves in central asia that attacked us with box cutters and our colonial expedition into Iraq will be an exercise for historians to explain in the coming decades, should civilization manage to survive these delusional morons.

3. I saw part of the show with Wolf this morning......
....Wolf mentioned Wilkerson and how they responded to him.

There was a military guy with Rummy and they said that Wilkerson had never attended any of their meetings. So apparently the point was.......that Wilkerson couldn't know anything if he didn't attend the meetings.

It didn't make much sense to me.

5. And who would the Caliph be?
That is totally immature. He must be in the midst of an attack of delusions.

7. He's my favorite
of the corporate owned imperial statists. I could listen to him all day. He just doesn't care. He'll say whatever pops into his head at the moment(knowing it'll be forgotten), talk about the unknown known unknowns, twist his next answer into a pretzel, deny this or that happened, "resign", mention everything about Saddam outside of their handshake, and create secret prisons and hit squads that span the globe, all in a very calm and collected voice. To top it off, he knowns he'll never be touched. Plus he has millions in the bank from all his private sector work between jobs at the highest levels of the US government. Well played Donald.

The Donald Rumsfeld Library of Quotations.

You probably thought that they had gone forever. However, for your enjoyment, Broadcasting House has diligently gathered together this fine collection of off-the-cuff remarks from one of the only remaining world superpower's most ingenious wordsmiths.

Rivalled only by the President himself, Mr Rumsfeld is prodigious in his output. Now, straight from the horse's mouth, hand-crafted from the finest Soundbite TM, mounted and polished for your pleasure, we give you:
