Please tell me.... How do we get Wes Clark's name mentioned for 2008?
Edited on Sun Nov-20-05 09:58 PM by Laura PackYourBags
Every single broadcast I have heard, names Hillary, Evan Bayh, Joe Biden, John Kerry as 08 Democratic contenders.

How can those of us who think he would be one the greatest presidents ever, help to get his name out there??

1. Let him fly under the corp. radar for now
They see him as threat they will try to tear him down... the media rarely takes on a good dem without trying to tear them apart

6. No, do it!
A candidate ain't nobody unless somebody is saying they won't support him or her!

5. Don't worry about the coWHOREporate media...
...just keep talking him up to your friends and neighbors. Wear his buttons to Dem meetings.

I had a luncheon with Harold Ford Jr. and the Women for Ford people and wore my Clark 2008 button.

Word-of-mouth exposure, his stumping at Dem dinners and luncheons across the country and exposure to the Dems and swing voters as the Faux News analyst keeps him in the back of peoples' minds. Let him fly under the radar and shock the shit outta the media when he beats Hillary in every single red and purple state primary.

7. I get frustrated, too!!!!! Esp. because we know that Clark has
been described as the "go to" guy on Iraq, then things just seem to go off in all different directions! The lack of discipline in the party really bugs me.
I wouldn't blame Clark if he decides NOT to run, based on the mess that other Democrats will have created in terms of all the conflicting messages about Iraq....

9. There is a reason he is not being mentioned....
And My opinion is, he wants to get to the people through FOX and appearences all over the Country. He is supporting congressional candidates, while getting his name out in their communities. He has a plan, and is TRULY flying under the radar. His contract with FOX is only for a year. Should be up in the spring. I think HE is in charge of his PLAN this time. If he runs, he is going to knock the media for a loop.
I truly trust him, he is a stratigist, and has a plan this time, IF he runs. OUR country really NEEDS him...Just keep talking to people about him and his policies...He wants us to do that in our communities. They need to hear his name. We are grassroots....we have to make it happen.

11. First step
Wait until 2007, after the much important midterm elections.

Then, and only then, start thinking about 2008.

12. so who's on the list so far? . . .
let's see . . . we have . . .

Hillary Clinton
John Kerry
Al Gore
Wes Clark
John Edwards
Mark Evans
Evan Bayh
Joe Biden
John Conyers
Dennis Kucinich
John Murtha
Bobby Kennedy
Robert Redford
Bill Moyers

those are the names I've heard mentioned . . . I'm sure there are more, but they escape me at the moment . . . mostly pretty good candidates, I suppose, but isn't it a little early to start picking favorites? . . . let's focus on getting the voting machines and the vote tabulating out of Republican hands . . . 'cause if we don't, it won't much matter who we run . . .
