It is something that isn't talked about, but I have been helping an acquaintence out tonight. This guy did some hard time for drugs about 10 years ago. He was paroled for 10 years. He has served 9 years of this and has done really well. He has had the same job for about 8 years now. This is a small town and there aren't that many jobs to be had. It was a decent paying job. This guy isn't the best looking and had never been married. A new girl started work there about 2 years ago. She was homeless basically with 4 kids. She is pretty. She glommed onto this guy. We tried to warn him that she was trouble. He fell for her--head over heels. She was on probation for drugs. They got married. She got him into some serious debt. Bought a new car, new furniture, then bought a new house. She was fired at work--stated reason was that she was absent too much--but it was really because they thought she was stealing and couldn't prove it. So then it leaves the financial burden on her husband. So he is supporting a wife and her 4 kids on a salary that wasn't meant to support that many people. This girl is a bitch--I mean a dyed in the wool bitch. Their new car was repossessed last month. Several times she has locked him out of the house and told him that he couldn't come back in until he brought some money home. She didn't care how he did it, just bring it. He is in hock to all the loan shark companies around, payday advances, etc. So...he turned to selling drugs. Trying to make this woman happy. We have all told him he needed to cut her loose...she was going to pull him down, he didn't believe us. Tonight, he was arrested in another county for possession. I don't know how the parole thing works, but I am sure he will go back to prison. If he lucks out and doesn't have that happen, he WILL lose his job. They don't put up with that at all. I'm very sad because this was a nice guy who got played. This woman will just move on to the next sucker. And this guy who had his life together...just lost the jackpot.:( All he was looking for was a woman that loved him. Love will sure enough blind you.
