you know, the pictures of war, and mayhem and chaos and torture and blood and guts, america DOESN'T GET TO SEE THOSE PICTURES. no one wants to see them of course, we are too sensitive and humane to even gaze upon them, we are too genteel.

all those who grunt 'stay the curse' and 'finish the job' and 'cowards cut and run' should be forced to look at the real horrors they endorse and sanction JUST ONCE.

they should see the pictures i've seen on the internet, they're out there, most taken by our own soldiers, you know the ones i refer too, anyone can look them up if they want to be accused of being sick minded. dead people. innocent dead people, like children and women and old men, heads blown off, blood drained into gutters, bodies burnt to charcoal, people reduced to piles of meat. i've seen them.

but they are just photographs, the reality of being right there is much worse i'm sure. like the free people of auschwitz were forced to march through the death camps and see what hitler had been up to, they suddenly saw through all the bullshit and saw the reality of war. and they were sorely ashamed.

of course if they were forced to view the horror pictures, they'd fluff it all off with a cheap rush limbaugh phrase like, 'war isn't pretty', etc. the truly brainwashed and detached always have a snappy little comeback to show how hollow they are inside.

but just once i'd like to force them to visit one of those websites that has all the 'warnography' pics taken by our soldiers and then show them to their children, and explain to little johnny and suzy how war is ugly but necessary. and when little suzy asks why the little babies had to be blown to bits, maybe some lies about jesus will suffice.

3. I can't mopaul..

I know there are people who SHOULD see these pictures. I know that. These are the ones who put pictures of aborted fetuses on the sides of trucks and drive them around grade schools. They SHOULD see these pictures.

I CAN'T look. I never watched the beheading videos. I never dwelled over the Abu Ghraib pictures, though those were unavoidable.

Just knowing the abuses exist is tearing my insides out. They gnaw at the edges of my imagination day and night, and the very thought of them can bring me to tears.

Once you see images like that, it's a bell that can't be unrung.
