Feingold: U.S. Due for 'Cheesehead' Prez

WASHINGTON -- The time has come for a "cheesehead" in the White House, although Sen. Russ Feingold, D-Wis., doesn't know if he's the one to take that mantle.

He put his chances of seeking for the nomination in 2008 at "probably higher" than one in 100 while saying it was too early to commit to the race.

A cheesehead is a native or resident of Wisconsin, a leading dairy state. The term also refers to the yellow "cheese" wedges worn on the heads of Green Bay Packers football fans.

:eyes: Isn't the term 'cheesehead' from that annoying commercial pedaling some cheese product? (I forget which) If anything, I guess Feingold is thinking of a presidential bid.

I swear to god I will scream through the entire process and probably be bald from ripping my hair out by the time it's over to boot.

(It's not from the commercial originally. It's what people who aren't from Wisconsin call Wisconsinites to make fun of us and/or they use it as an "endearing" term. I, as you may have imagined, don't care for it, but I'm sure that alone won't stop it.)
