1. David Grergory doing a good job of deconstructing speech
Saying it is a political speech, and the difficulty of Bush in convincing the nation. Also said speech is basically nothing new.

6. Greenfield on CNN not buying speech...
Edited on Wed Nov-30-05 10:35 AM by berner59
Said that when Bush said he'll send more troops if Generals ask for them was a lie since most Generals know Rummy won't allow that and their jobs are in danger if they ask...wow...

2. David Gregory is outright saying this is a spin job. Nothing new.
Basically says he's desperately trying to grasp at straws.

7. So, now what do we do about Joe Lieberman?
Does he need some "direction" from the DNC or not? Do we flood his office with "thanks alot Joe" email?

Support for war has fallen, thus this bogus bullshit speech. (Edit to add, that last was my opinion)

"Speech will probably make a little difference. But stories about Iraqis who want Americans to withdraw counteract that." (Slightly paraphrased.)

14. Senator Ben Nelson (D.) is positive about the speech on CNN --
He was the first non-CNN person to come on the air. He has no criticism whatsoever about Shrub, the speech, or the Iraq war effort.

if there was anything he wanted to hear that he didn't hear, and he said something about "metrics."

16. Miles O'Brian and Greenfield both are trying to push him. Asking
him some semi-tough questions, and Miles was cutting him off from speechifying.
