Bush's Approval Rating: 50%
A new Diageo/Hotline poll shows that among regis. voters, Pres. Bush's approval rating is at 50%, up from 39% last month. 47% currently disapprove.

Meanwhile, Cong job approval is at 26%, down from 36% last month.

More numbers later in the day.

4. MSNBC was quoting him at 39% up from 38%......
I'm not sure who ran the poll though. They claimed it was the "newest" poll numbers, just out this morning.

Diageo/Hotline Poll: Same Poll, New Name

The latest poll is out from National Journal's Hotline, although now with a new sponsor and two new names: The Diageo/Hotline poll conducted by Financial Dynamics. The pollster of record is still Ed Reilly, although his company Westhill Partners was recently acquired by Financial Dynamics. So same pollster, different names.

There is absolutely no way this is correct. A bounce this big has never been experienced by any president. (Excepting maybe Silverspoon after 9/11, and he sure didn't deserve that.)

13. I think the statistic you're quoting
is his approval among those who supported him in the last election. And of that number, 50% approve of the job he's doing. This blog is a little sketchy.
