Poll question: Who here thinks Chalabi will be the winner of the Iraq *cough* election?
Edited on Thu Dec-15-05 11:15 AM by in_cog_ni_to
Cheney's pet, Chalabi, is on the ballot. I think this administration hand picked him to win and has Diebold Butterfly "special-made" ballots just waiting to PROVE he won. Who thinks Chalabi will win in Iraq?

1. Chalabi = "Victory"
How could they possibly pass that up.

2. OK
It's possible but boy would it be stupid. Even if their plan is to put a puppet government in and rig the lection, Chalabi is tainted goods; it's unlikely he will get the nod.

3. Other:
It will be someone other than Chalabi, but not because Iraq has free and fair elections. Just because Chalabi has become too much of a liability.

6. They raided Chalabi's house, let him go, brought him
here to "Serve him food instead of serving him a subpoena" (thanks Dick Durbin) and met with all the big whigs while here in the U.S.. Why wouldn't they make him Iraq's new leader? They didn't give a crap about what people thought when they "invited" him to come here and meet with our government officials. Why would they care if we KNEW they hand picked Chalabi to be their puppet leader? Why did our government invite him here? IMCPO, it's all connected.

4. Abdul Aziz al-Hakim

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - A former militia leader who fought Saddam Hussein from exile in Iran, Abdul Aziz al-Hakim is now one of the most powerful men in Iraq, the head of a conservative Shi'ite Muslim party with an ardent following.

Nearly always dressed in brown clerical robes, with a black turban that identifies him as a descendant of the Prophet, Hakim is a stern, austere figure who leads the pro-Iranian Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI).

15. Exactly - the United Iraqi Alliance of SCIRI and the Dawa party
is too popular in provinces where they control the vote counting. Chalabi, or Allawi (who's more of a UK candidate than the American-backed Chalabi) may 'increase' their vote a bit, but they won't be able to stuff the ballot boxes that much.

8. Not sure.
Have they found the other two trucks full of fake ballots yet?

If they have, I say Chalabi doesn't win.

10. As long as voter 'compensation' loot was distributed and the ballot boxes
got 'stuffed', all should go well for a Chalabi victory. It is ALWAYS nice to see 'democracy' in action.

12. Nah, that'd be like poking a hornet's nest.
Both in Iraq AND the US.

I'm sure they've rigged it to get the result they want, but I expect it'll be some relatively unknown exile. Someone who will take orders.
