Earle looking at campaign finance records of Missouri Gov. Matt Blunt?
Ronnie Earle looking at campaign finance records of Missouri Gov. Matt Blunt?

Exclusive: Texas Prosecutor Seeks Governor Blunt's Campaign Finance Records

Pursuant to a Missouri Sunshine Law request, Fired Up! has obtained records which indicate that Texas prosecutors in the criminal case against Rep. Tom DeLay recently sought certified copies of campaign finance disclosure reports for the year 2000 for Governor Matt Blunt and his principal campaign committee, Missourians For Matt Blunt.

Previous news reports have revealed that Prosecutor Ronnie Earle was looking at bank records and campaign finance reports for ARMPAC, Roy Blunt's Leadership PAC--the Rely On Your Beliefs Fund, and the Missouri Republican Party.

However, Fired Up! is the first to report that Earle's investigators are now specifically reviewing the campaign finance records of Missouri's chief executive.

The November 28, 2005 request on the letterhead of the Office of the District Attorney, also seeks certified copies of committee disclosures for the Rely On Your Beliefs Fund. The letter is signed by Marshall E. Vogt, CPA, a Sergeant Investigator in the Special Prosecution/Public Integrity Unit.

Records at the Missouri Ethics Commission indicate that the response to Earle's request totalled 829 pages.

13. Rely on your beliefs because we're taking away your Medicaid
I've heard of disabled Missourians who were denied funds to pay for oxygen-and they needed the oxygen to stay alive.

Me thinks you will find something. Oh, Pombo (Ca 11) merits a look, too.

7. Yes they are.
I always knew Matt Blunt would figure into this somehow.
And last time I checked he a lower approval rating than Bush, and he hasn't even been in office for a year.:wtf:

9. Ah. OK. That figures.
What is it with these people? They even pass down their bad ethics to their children? Have they no shame? That's right, I forgot, they don't. They have no conscience.

Why are his ratings so low? and if he's so disliked, why did they elect him...or did Diebold help with that? :(

16. He has been cutting social programs
in the state, including a huge bundle for higher education (which affects me). Even though he calls himself the "education governor". Seems like the last SUSA poll had him as one of the bottom five governors. I will see if I can find the link to that.

I sure as hell didn't vote for him. Claire McCaskill was my gal!

We did have an anti-gay marriage amendment during last year's election, and most likely the reason he is in office (as well as name recognition).

Andy Blunt (Matt Blunt's brother) is under investigation for "selling bills". Twenty-five thousand dollars to get your piece of legislation through.

10. Please let him find something on baby blunt!
He's used the citizens of this state to create monopolies for his fascist friends!

He has outsourced DMV functions, Unemployment functions to his crony friends and tightened Medicaid requirements to the point that only the completely indigent can qualify for benefits.

Matt Blunt is a PIG....just like his bushy-eyed father!

Repenting for 2000?
There is no recall option in MO.
It would take some serious criminal activity to get him out.
In other words, Republicans would have to be shamed into running him out of office.
I have mixed feelings, I am not sure that we would want Peter Kinder to have a chance to run as an incumbant.
On the other hand, I am personally affected and have a close up view of what he has done.

19. May all the blunts rot in prison, then in the hell they believe in
The devil has us by the throat here in Missouri, strangling the life out of the poor and sick. When this bunch got in they declared Missouri to be a poor, sick, elderly free zone, no longer were the rich going to help carry anyone.
The message was and is if you don't like it get out, or die.
It's creating a huge messy backlash, if I survive until 08, I'm going to be dancing the best cripple jig I can, because there's no way re4ptiles are going to be elected even with diebolds help.
Hell, we may even be able to get these bastards out before then, true, we don't have recall power for governor, but, we can throw the blackhearted bastard in prison.

21. Interesting, this is for BoyBlunder's run as Sec of State
I always did think that the little shit's campaign for SoS was simply to give him a chance to really fuck up this state's voting process ala Katherine Harris. I'm even more convinced of that after the BS that happened in St Louis in '04. Hell, supposedly Boone County, home of the quite liberal college town of Columbia, went for both Bush and Blunt in '04 and I know that is complete and utter fraud. I mean really now, how many people who voted to decriminalize pot, and legalize medical marijuana(both of which passed in Columbia) are going to also pull the lever for Bush and Blunt. Sorry, I just don't buy it.

I hope that they do find something on this idiot. He and his neo-con buddies are ravaging this state. The only bright spot on the horizon is that it is pretty much a done deal that Blunt is going to be a one term wonder, he has fucked over so many people that there is across the board hatred for this idiot, and he is going to be challenged in the primary, and our Dem AG is already announced as running against him.

I am rather fortunate that I don't have to rely on Medicaid or other social programs in this state, though I have friend who do. Those poor folks are getting screwed coming and going, and I help them out as much as possible. Right now there is a ballot initiative making the rounds that if passed would force the state to reinstate the cuts that Boy Blunder made to Medicaid. Working hard to see it passes.

Please Ronnie, take this evil man and his evil family down.
