map of the CIA flights (dial up !)

big dots = number of flights
square = color of the countries suspected of having secret detention centers
stars = US bases or US military presence

notice the French base at Istres near Marseille. The US presence there is small. It's a major French airforce base and the US personal works there in case of an emergency landing of the shuttle. There is pilot training exchange too.

3. Actually
It's the countries colored in peach (the color in the square in the caption)

They are:
  • Poland
  • Czech Republic
  • Kosovo
  • Romania

Is a small dark peach dot with a light peach square in it. I see now.

4. They're the blue dots with the fuzzy white things inside
The map is too small and the contrast too low to let you see them as squares.

This map is a great catch. I'm saving it, printing it, filing it.

I also need to check the French press more often, especially the leftist press. They've got a good one.

6. Nope
The Blue dots with the white stars in them are American military bases.

7. legend translation:
(rough translation; French is not my forte)

- peach circle with number inside or next to them: location with number of CIA flights.

- light peach: countries suspected of harboring secret CIA prisons.

- blue circle with white star inside: military base with US presence.
