How is offshoring good for national security?

We've been told it's great for the economy, though 2005 in general has not been good, with 2005's xmas season being reported as lacklustre at best...

For example, every time you get a "Free" credit report, it's all housed in India. I wonder if anyone is "exempted" from having their information over there, of course...

When Indian and Chinese software developers write code, they're more likely to create backdoors allowing them free access. Why not? Piracy rates in those countries is 74 and 90% respectively, as of an April 2005 report from Cnet... And the last I recall, China is an enemy - isn't trading with the enemy a no-no or something? (Last I recall, China has been officially unfriendly for more than 40 years...)

All of this affects the US as a superpower as well; seeing what is going on, would you spend $30,000+ for an education that's not going to allow you to pay it back because more and more jobs are being shipped overseas? Or is a damaged infrastructure not related to national security?
