Regarding the server/software upgrade....
Many people these past few days have started posts complaining about recent bugs which have made reading or posting on DU a bit inconvenient lately. I understand where you are all coming from as many of you use DU as a second home much like I do.

I just want to remind you all that this upgrade was performed less than two weeks ago, and I'm guessing many of the problems have arisen out of the massive amount of traffic DU has been getting this past week due to all of the saucy revelations we've been getting on a daily basis from the * administration.

I think the DU is a great forum. I have yet to find an online community where information is so freely exchanged and readily available. Not only that, but I think it's also one of the most user friendly forums on the net. How many people have been to freerepublic? Do you know how incredibly unintuitive that site is? Seriously, there is no exchange of ideas, it's just people posting their partisan newsbits and hundreds of dittomonkeys saying variations of 'me too!'. In the rare occasion that there is an actual debate, it's impossible to follow to the outside observer because you have to spend a half hour trying to find out whom said what to whom.

All I'm saying is that I'm sure the server/software people are doing their absolute best to get this problem resolved and in the meantime, just try to grin and bear it. I have every faith that the admins and techies will in due time have DU back to it's regular bug-free self.

3. I agree.
It's worth staying with this forum as the bugs are worked out.

7. Well said...
I have the technical expertise of a block of wood, so I'm more than willing to have people who are working on the problem fix it. They are, if anything, more frustrated than any of us.

8. Right on
Got your groove thing working.

I have been in debate forums and usenet. IRC to AOL. DU is by far the best setup I have come across to date. The admins are working their asses off to make us a home to be proud of. It takes time to hunt down bugs. Sheesh they are even going to upgrade the server HW if they need to. We can at least be as devoted to them as they are to us. Stop whining. Get with the program. And lets kick some *.

10. THANK YOU - MY SENTIMENTS EXACTLY......
....I'll take the headaches if I don't have to listen to neoCONS/freepers spewing their lies.

BTW, I agree totally with "In the rare occasion that there is an actual debate, it's impossible to follow to the outside observer because you have to spend a half hour trying to find out whom said what to whom."
