Camp Wellstone
1. Has anyone been to this?

2. I am scheduled to go Dec 5-7 in Rochester MN, and was wondering if anyone could tell me what to kind of expect. (other than the basic descriptions I've read)

3. Are there any other DUers that will be there?

It looks like the kind of thing DUers need to attend if we really want to turn this thing around!

Camp Wellstone is an exciting and energetic 2.5 day program that trains participants in the philosophy, strategy and tactics for winning grassroots political and electoral campaigns. This national program teaches a distinctive approach that integrates electoral politics, issues advocacy community organizing and leadership development...

1. You betcha!
I did the first out-of-Minnesota-experience of the Wellstone Action trainers when they came to Cleveland.

I learned a tremendous amount in the Activist session. It did drag a bit in the canvassing/voter registration segments, but they said they were going to rework that segment.

The training binder takes off from there and is a great read after you finish the course.

Go get 'em.
