Hey...the SC will take up the Cheney secret meetings!
Interesting that this hardly made a stir. The GAO, the Sierra Club, and Judicial Watch have had lawsuits to force Cheney to reveal the memebers and the agenda at the meetings since early 2001. (GAO dropped the suit after Bush put pressure on them). Now, the SC will make the decision. Hmmm. I wonder if that'll come before the election. Yeah, right.

Here's the opening of the article:
WASHINGTON (AP) - The Supreme Court said Monday it will hear Vice President Dick Cheney's argument for keeping private the details of closed-door White House strategy sessions that produced the administration's energy policy, a dispute that tests the limits of White House secrecy.

Luckily, Saddam provided enough distraction to make this a non issue. Surprise, surprise. Lots of us believe that Cheney (PNAC, Halliburton, etc) is the Smoking Gun in everything that's going on.

2. I guess no one's too excited because it's THIS Supreme Court.
Not a bunch I'd trust with fundamental constitutional problems.

3. I expect Judicial Watch
to be a plant in order to mess up this investigation. They are still going after Clinton and Reno. No mention of any investigations of * . They are a RW think tank full of RW lawyers.

4. this is good news
We can only hope that the truth is revealed. Is that too much to ask? Just a little truth, that's all I want.

I have a feeling that Cheney, in those meetings, has the invasion of Iraq already on the table as part of his "energy policy"

Of course, even if this becomes public knowledge, I'm sure no one will care. The biggest scandal in the history of the US and no one will care because Saddam was the bogeyman.
