They are sitting ducks. They can be ambushed at any time. They don't have a chance to fight back. They are in an untenable situation. Because they know that the person that ambushes them can disappear within the confines of the city. In an instant, a grenade may be dropped from a bridge or a building or they may turn a corner and meet an oncoming grenade from a rocket launcher. There is no time for escape or a counter attack. If they draw the short straw, then they are the ones to die today. It is not fair to put these young people's lives into such a situation. It is a failing military strategy that needs to be changed immediately. Otherwise, our troops will continue to die needlessly.

They have frozen all redeployments, so no
one is going anywhere anytime soon, and
our Congress goes on vacation July 25 so
nothing is going to happen until mid fall.
Not what we all want to hear out here. We
are under siege out here, without supplies,
without a mission and we can only roll the
dice so many times and not get our (expletive)
shot. More and more body bags and
amputees will be coming home.
