apparently mad cow isn't having much of an effect here in Oklahoma (nation's 5th largest beef producer), the supply was down about 20% because ranchers didn't want to bring in too many if the price tumbled, but it was down about 2% from a week ago. I have no political opinion on this, just thought it was interesting.

by the policies of the government.

Today, my husband, who is not a net watcher, but who does watch the TV for his sources, asked me all sorts of questions about MCD

He had no idea what the etiology was, what the symptoms were, what the incubation period was, and how the affliction was being spread.

He watches the news twice a day on the TV, and is generally interested.

How much is the government educating it's citizens re this very serious condition? He was absolutely ignorant about it all and he not a stupid, uneducated man.

So, it looks to me like this is another Bush attempt to sweep it under the carpet. Secrecy and lies is his way of leading the nation, as many have pointed out.

We the people do not matter--what does matter is the the beef industry does not take a loss. This is truly disgusting. :puke:

The Bush administration is doing nothing to provide any sort of health guidelines to it's citizens. We are vulnerable and we are being ignored. We are being treated like little pieces of shit by this arrogant Bush administration. Not only in this recent MC debacle, but all over the board.

And still we sit, placated, dulled, satiated with too much sugar coated food, too much old time religion, and too much earnest striving to pack everything on the market that is glitzy and that has entered into out subconscious, vulnerable to propaganda and advertising techniques, into our very big shopping bags and of course, charge it--buy now pay later--the mantra of Bush and if it is good eneough for the "bring em on" Depends wearing, AWOL, coward commander in chief, who MUST of course be a good leader cause look how rich he is!!! and how brave he is to dare people to "bring it on" and he is of course a "Christian"

If it is good eneough for him, our fearless Texas cowboy, it is good enough for us.

Bring em on--everything we can buy and charge on our ten or more Visa cards--life is wonderful, and everything is free~~~and all of those who cannot do this, who are poor because they cannot charge up stuff on ten different cards, because they cannot "pull themselves up by their bootstraps" enough to get those ten cards and charge up everything in their consumerist sights--

well, anyhow, most of them are black or brown so what else to expect anyhow?" And why should I pay taxes to support any of "them"? In the public schools (they disrupt and cause my genious child to become dyslexic and learning impaired) as women with no other resource to feeld themself and their children but the state, as the starving, and as the homeless, and as in all the people who are falling down because they cannot find a job-=too bad--why should I pay for them?

And so, the selling of the soul while all the while pretending to have one--they most likely have no idea of what that is--they most likely think it is becoming a member of the Crystal Cathedral and whatever else in "trendy" or has a lot "influential rich" people in its membership/
