2. Damn, I don't have cable!
ElectraWoman and DynaGirl rocked! It's like the 1960s Batman except it's got better looking sets and women instead of men (womens' lib ruled!).

And so did Lost Saucer! Ruth Buzzi and Jim Nabors ruled!

I'm 32 and I'm proud of knowing these cheap goofy 70s kiddie shows! :D

3. I'd be afraid to tune them in!
I have happy memories of those shows and would hate to see them again after 30 years, only to conclude that they sucked.

Hey, it happened to me with "Hong Kong Phooey" and "Scooby Doo"!

5. Trust me - you will conclude this
All Sid and Marty Krofft shows had some guy hitting the laugh track button at random...generating canned laughter for things that weren't even funny...

However, after a bong hit or two, the show is still just as mezmorizing...

4. Pufnstuff
So, I'm watching H.R. Pufnstuff, which I think is responsible for the warping of my mind that took place at a very early age. Anyway, so I'm wondering. Does anyone know what kind of drugs the Kroftts took while they made this? That musta been some trippy stuff, man. :bounce:

Did anyone ever see the parody of this done on Mr. Show? I almost blew a kidney.

6. My earliest exposure to surrealism was children's TV!
Gumby, Dr. Seuss, Sid & Marty Kroft.... No wonder Generation X has such a twisted sense of humor!

8. I used to watch Lidsville WAAAY back when it first aired
It was fun at 4, but PAINFUL now, lol. Poor Charles Nelson Reilly. He absolutely HATED working on that show. Now I know why, lol.

Trivia: The kid in the show was Eddie Munster. :-)
