however - you need to think to yourself - what do I love about me. I know that this is going to sound like corny crap and it might be but I've been depressed - severely - I've been to all the bad places where people had to make me promise not to harm myself. What you have said is what other people feel about you - that will never be a satisfying place of support. No one can ever give you the happiness that you must generate from within. Now I know damn well thatyou have things to be proud of and I suspect you know them to. Focus on those things - the things you love about yourself. Man - self love is worth all the fucking kisses in the world. I know.

What are you interested in outside of the Angel television show? Maybe there are some group activities you could get involved in where you could meet new friends? How about your local Dem chapter?

Something else I've found that always helps; exercise. It raises seritonin levels in your brain, makes you feel better about yourself, and will always make you more attractive to the opposite sex!

34. I'm sorry, Angelus.

Our situations aren't the same, but I have felt some of the same things before... self-loathing, etc. Lately, I have been going through a lot, and feeling really depressed.

I have a long history with depression. It hits me every few years, and when I have any kind of crisis in my life. I also tend to do things that sabotage my life, and then when those things blow up, the depression comes. One of the times when I have too much time to think is on my way to work.... an hour + commute every weekday. Thursday, I found myself thinking how little I have to look forward to in life. I have friends, and one relative who I would say love me, but I'll probably never get married again, never have children... sometimes all I feel I have to look forward to is getting up everyday and going to work. and to be honest, that has been SHIT lately.... big blowup with a coworker, really, really bad....

But back when my ex-husband walked out, I went to a psychiatrist, and I learned some good ways to deal wth these feelings. I use self-talk to combat all these negative feelings. But I think right now I feel too down for that. I decided during that commute on Thursday, that it is time to call the doctor. when I was on Celexa, it REALLY helped turn me around.

I'm not going to lecture you about going to a doctor or getting on anti-depressants, but I do want you to know that at my lowest point in my life, that is what I did, and it was like walking from a dungeon out into the sunshine. Within three weeks on Celexa, I was a completely different person. Modern medicine can work miracles. Just consider it.
