Who has seen 'Harold and Maude'?
It's one of my all time favorite movies, but I can't find anyone at school that has seen it (maybe too young?). If you have seen it, first of all, I commend you on being an awesome human being, and what are your thoughts about the film?:yourock:

The Cat Stevens music...the whole attitude of living life to the fullest...

Love that flick - but whatever happened to Bud Cort?

"HAROLD! THAT WAS YOUR LAST DATE!"

On Edit: Check out this awesome page on the flick - http://www.geocities.com/RainForest/5862/harold.htm

3. Cat is great!
He refused to release all the songs he wrote for the movie in a soundtrack because, he said, they were meant to be part of the movie. That is so cool! No artist nowadays would do that!

"Everyone has the right to make an ass of themselves" Oh, Maude.....

I hope I'm like her when I'm eighty.

16. Did a couple of things with Jon Favreau...................
I agree he didn't get rich, but it sounds like he did alright. Good for old Walter a.k.a: Bud.

7. Ah, what memories
it was 1974 and I was in college (PITT). THese were the "Cult" films at the time:

Harold and Maude,
Pink Flamingos,
King of Hearts (With Bambi Vs. Godzilla and Lenny Bruce's Thank You Masked Man!)
Fantasia,
Deep Throat,
The Marx Brothers "At The Circus",
The Prisoner

I have them all on DVD and when I put them in the player, I'm transported back to a bittersweet time...

14. One of my all time favorites!
I've seen it a million times...well...almost. I have dragged so many people to see it that I would never remember them all. A lot of those times were back in DC in the early seventies, when it ran at the Key theatre in Georgetown for months, maybe years. You could go see a double header with 'Harold and Maude', and 'The Harder they Come'. What a great soundtrack of Cat Stevens songs.

Timely quote from Maude: "How the world so loves a cage".......can't remember the rest of that line, but......Maude would not be pleased with current events.

In fact, when I was a teen-ager, other folks who had seen the film told me how strongly I resembled the Bud Cort of 1971.
