Worst song of the 90's
Edited on Mon May-24-04 01:44 PM by Beware the Beast Man
I'd have to go with "Butterfly Kisses" by Bob Carlyle. That song makes me wretch. :puke:

1. My Heart Will go on....
Don't like it, never have...and yet when it's on, I find myself singing to it before I change the channel. :hi:

17. Worst. Song. EVER.
It takes ZERO song writing ability to write a song that rhymes becasue every line ends with the word "on". :eyes:

I'm still livid that that piece of crap won the Oscar for Best Song and then the Grammy for Song of the Year. :puke:

2. Hmmmm....
I really liked that song. But then both of my daughters were fairly young when it came out, so it had a certain significance.

3. I Hope You Dance
When I sing it I change the lyrics to "I Peed My Pants"

My son gets a big kick out of that.

I also hated "You Gotta Be" by some woman with no last name and a pretentious first name with an apostrophe in it... :eyes:

28. The rest of the album was damn good, though.
It's tragic that they had to release the worst song on the record as the #1 hit single.

Yikes.

27. "I get up down but I get up again 'cause it happens on a lead guitar"
I SWEAR that is what I thought they were saying for the first three months of that song being on the air. My bestfriend lost it when I was singing along to it, he corrected me.

7. A tie - New Kids on The Block- Hangin Tough & You Got It (the Right Stuff)
:puke:

Being a girl in the 90's was evil. Especially if you hated top 40.

All my friends got seriously erm.... heated about those pathetic excuses for musicians... while I was desperately trying to find something worth listening to.

Both make me want to stab myself in the eye with a sharp pencil.
