Of all the posts I've seen asking about alma maters...
...nobody has ever been to my alma maters. I earned credit from a lot more schools and nobody has ever mentioned them either. I even went to the state forum where I graduated from high school and asked for other people who graduated from there too, nothing. I am starting to wonder if I have stumbled into some parallel universe where it is similar here but not everything is the same. Al Gore is still the president, right? OK I couldn't resist the joke but seriously am I the only person in DU who went to my high school, college, and grad school? If so, what are the odds?

1. The odds are pretty good that no one shares it
especially if all were smaller schools.

In the years I've been here, I've never come across anyone from my college or seminary or hometown.

While we have 45,000 people (almost) on DU, it's safe to assume that in the lounge area there's maybe a few hundred active people, so those few hundred out of entire country's worth of colleges and high school (how many is that? a million total, maybe?) is a pretty small grouping.

I bet even some of the big schools, like Columbia or Harvard or U. of Wisconsin have only a handful of grads on DU, and maybe only one or two who would actually post it on a thread in the lounge.

And no, Al Gore is not president. i don't even know why you'd mention him. Al Sharpton has been president since 1988, after defeating Nixon at the end of his fifth term. Where have you been?
