Good Morning DU!
How is everyone this morning? Day two of my diet! Yesterday I had one can of Mountain Dew but we'll not talk about food because my stomach was pretty upset due to no vitamins ever being in it. But anyways! How are you guys?? :donut: :hug:

lol so much happened it would probaly take 3 chapters to tell you but if you want I can, not sure you want to do alot a reading this morning. I can understand stress, I hope you feel better overall, body and mind. You ever try doing activities you really enjoy to relive stress? There were days where I felt very down and I would cap the day off playing a real good game of basketball, it keeps your mind of things and into the game. Were both young and we have our entire lifes ahead of us, so of course it's going to be confusing. It's all about making the best decisions for you and I am confident me and you will be able to get through them. :hug:

Thought for a little bit everyone had me on ignore, I don't think anyone replied to the last 10 posts I made.:crazy: I'll probaly go swimming today. I went swimming yesturday and my back got burnt, not by the sun but by the ground. I was laying on my back on that hot as well ground. Swimming is great excersize, there are about several pool related workouts you can do.

That's why I figured I'd go. I'm a water person and it would seem like less work to me (until I got out and was sore the next day). I'm inspired but at the same time, it's hard for my body to get used to this program I'm on. I ate once yesterday and threw that up (granted it's probably stress too)

Definitely don't have you on ignore, wouldn't do that.

40. Yeah that's expected
It's always hard on the body at first, there we times where I'd go for a few months without excersizing or anything and when I would start back up again it was tough getting back into the a routine and start developing a habit out of it. Throwing up sucks, I think it may have more to do with the excersize though. I recall throwing up plenty of times practicing in 120+ degree weather with football equipment on in the 10th grade. Good thing there was plenty of waterbreaks.

I've got alot of catching up to do! I'll start. I'm Maine Mary and have been AWOL from DU for a long time due mostly to my jobs. I started coming to DU sometime in May 2001. I'm not sure exactly what day, so last year I dubbed the 18th my DU B-DAY.

I'm sorry I didn't get an opportunity to greet you when you first came here. Too busy during those days to even peek at DU! Nice to meet you! :-)

41. PS- About the diet...
Congrats. But also a little advice that you can take or leave. After all; it's what works for us individually that counts.... (and I DO understand that we are all different)

I'm not exactly where I'd like to be w/my weight but I don't think anyone would call me overweight either. I stay fairly consistant in a very simple way. My best secret? I DON'T DRINK OUR CALORIES! (Unless of course it's alcohol :evilgrin: I'm Irish ya know ;-) You can save lots of calories if you get used to diet sodas ect. And to be honest, I don't even like regular soda anymore now that I've gotten used to diet. I'd rather eat my calories then drink them.

Also, I think of it this way.. i CAN "SPEND" only a certain amount of calories p/day & If I go nuts on my my fav-Italian food, on Saturday, I eat less on Sunday.


PS-Don't let my mom or a nutritionist read this :-)

Well, we ended up having a staff meeting at work yesterday at the last minute so I didn't get to do much yesterday but hopefully I'm going to do a few laps in the pool today.

I often don't suggest it just because a suitable pool is not usually available. Put that pool to use! Keep exercising and you'll do fine. :thumbsup:

Looking forward to the long weekend. Various cookouts and a return to the RenFest wearing my new costume tight pants and vest. I'll look like one of the village merchants.

33. We have a spring renfest
8 weekends from mid-April to the 1st weekend in June. They tried a spring and fall for about 3 yrs, but scheduling became a nightmare, so they've kept a spring RenFest only.
