Depending on your interests, there are several things to do. The Dells has interesting geological features. It also has waterparks and other attractions. It is full of tourists. I like it though.

do not go during the weekend. go in the fall when the rates are cheaper. for a really nice place to stay after the season is over-the wilderness. other tips during peak times-cheap motel-go to the wisconsin dells websites. been there about 10 times in the last bunch of years..need anymore advice just pm/email glad to help in anyway...

Be sure to go to North Freedom, near Baraboo, and ride the trains at the Mid-Continent Railway Museum. All diesel now, but they are in the process of repairing 4 Steam Locomotives for future excursions. Lots of vintage rail stuff. Cars, depot, water tower, etc.

And Circus World Museum in Baraboo.

Ho Chunk Casino is nearby also.

Some good antique malls also.
