Favorite song from an era that isn't yours?
I love "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" by the Andrew Sisters and "In The Mood" by Glenn Miller. I'm grew up with the 80's music but love these two songs from the 40's.

2. Last night, Vince requested "Bicycle Built for Two" from the volinist
at a restaurant. For the sheer purpose of getting it stuck in my head (as it tends to). What can I say -- I'm a sucker for a dying HAL 9000. The guitarist (who was kind of accompanying the violinist) admonished us: "You're way too young for that song." (I bet the object of the song, Daisy Bell, was way younger than we are. But that was 100 years ago. Anyway.)

4. "I've Got You Under My Skin"
The Four Seasons did a respectable cover in a pop 60's way and Sinatra nailed it. Diana Krall does my favorite version.

when I drove through Atlanta once. I know the Irish lyrics, so I was prepared if any Georgian heard me-I'd act dumb and say it was "Come In"-what "Marching Through Georgia"?

10. At least half of my favorite music isn't from my era
So I'm not sure what to pick. I have been listening to Woody Guthrie a lot lately and Pastures of Plenty is my favorite by him right now.

11. Just about anything by Glenn Miller. I love big band era.
I have favorite songs from just about every era. I always have a hard time choosing a favorite anything, movie, song, performer etc. As soon as I choose another one comes to mind.
