But I have a question? I always thought if you go over the amount, you automatically lose. If someone had chosen 756, that person would win because they didn't go over the correct amount right?

This same scenario happened to me not too long ago at a baby shower I attended. My number was two lesser than the correct number, but someone guessed two numbers above what the correct number was (how many jelly beans in the bottle). I really felt I got cheated on the prize but I couldn't say anything because it would be embarassing.
